Chapter 1: Patterns in Mathematics

Asalamu Alaikum,

Dear parents,

Over the next two weeks, your child will be learning about patterns: repeating patterns, growing patterns, and shrinking patterns. The goal will be for your child to identify, describe, extend, and create patterns. For repeating patterns, the focus will be on naming attributes of patterns and how those attributes change. The focus for growing or shrinking patterns will be on the start number and the amount that is added or subtracted each time.

Today's Homework: Math workbook page 1 due tomorrow.

As you are aware we have spent the last month focusing on completing the Math and Language Curriculum. We will be spending the coming two weeks reviewing and wrapping up all other subjects. There will be quizzes and assignments for which you will be notified. This is to ensure that the students are ready for Grade 4 by completing the curricular requirements for Grade 3.
